What is the coldest you’ve ever been in your life? The hottest?
At the age of 10 I climbed my first 14er and at the peak of the mountain, 14,078 feet above sea level, a rain storm hit. The air was thin, dry, and cold, and the mountain was covered in snow that had yet to melt despite the fact that it was July. I was drenched in rain slipping through the snow, trying to get back to base camp quickly in nothing but shorts and a light jacket. I can’t imagine being colder than that.
